Czech and Moravian Vegetable Union (CMVU) is professional voluntary coalition of the Czech and Moravian growers of the field and inside vegetables with the whole CZ territory activity, registered by Ministry of Interior of CZ on 16.4.2002 under fale VSC/1–18692/93-R.
Czech and Moravian Vegetable Union (CMVU) is active on the whole territory of the Czech Republic. CMVU co-operates with the sister organizations in abroad.
Activity subject
■ Czech and Moravian Vegetable Union (CMVU) puts through the interests of the growers towards state authorities on all levels incl. Ministry of Agriculture, State Agricultural Intervence Fund, Czech Statistic Buro, Ministry of Health, State Agricultural and Food Inspection, State Phytosanitary Administration as well as towards professional non- governmental like Agrarian Chember in Czech and COPA/COGECA in Brussels. Futher negociates and coordinates the cooperation with the foreign partners, the in the frames of various governmental and non-governmental programes organize short and middle term programes for the Czech farmers in order to help them to enter EC. CVMU collects the data about czech vegetable growers in order to evaluate it statistically and to present them to the CMVU -members as well as to the government authorities and other state institutions. CMVU prepares for the state authorities professional expert studies, guesses and prognoses outcoming from the inquiries among the members and respondents.
■ CVMU organises the education of the members through setting up various teaching-ins, seminars, days of the new technique, instructions, excursions and exhibitions. It secures for the members the choice of professinal information from the home and foreign presse. CMVU organises and supports also various actions towards vegetable propagation of the home made vegetable.
■ CMVU operates it´s own webb pages , on which are published professional information (like prescribtions, prices, news), further assumed information , remarks, auctions,weather forecast. Through popular marketing propagates the consumption of the home made fresh vegetables among the consumers and generally propagates CMVU and the interests of the members on the national as well as international measurement.
Czech and Moravian Vegetable Union marks out mainly the following propagation targets:
■ to inform czech public about the importance of the growing and consumption of the fresh home vegetable in the traditional regions of the Czech Republic,
■ to see through at progresive vegetable production methods polite to the enviroment,
■ to see through at proper marking of vegetable origin and regular sale of home made fresh vegetable - with the accent towards traditional trade marks and new trade marks of the high quality home made vegetables ( KLASA, IPZ , etc.),
■ to take advantages of the methods and organisational structures which supports long term vegetable production in the traditional regions of the Czech Republic in order to keep home made fresh vegetable competetive against intracommunitary imports in EU mainly.
